We drove to Kaikoura on Friday night and stayed at the Kaikoura Trotting Club which is an NZMCA park for its members. Plenty of other motorhomes and campervans in for the night. Quick walk to the beach for a photo of the Kaikoura coastline. Fish and chips was the only way to go when arriving
This was our first visit to Peel Forest! We stayed at the Peel Forest Doc Campground which has amazing facilities (even a hot shower) and lots of space to park up!
We arrived in Lake Pukaki late at night and decided to drive through it and stay at Lake Wardell Rest Area Overnight Campervan Parking. It was an awesome spot and reasonably busy, it is great for freedom campers like us with plenty of space and the cleanest toilet facilities. The next morning, we headed back

When we arrived at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Lake Tekapo there were gale force winds so there were not many people there. When crossing the bridge, it was very windy and you had to hang on to all items as other people lost sunglasses over the side of the bridge.
