Mt. Nimrod
t’s a great wee spot and we drove through a town called Cave, go figure. The next morning we headed out to do the Mt. Nimrod walk which says it’s 2-3 hours.

Taranaki Falls were not as spectacular as the other waterfalls we have seen but still an A for effort. The lower and upper lakes that appear in these craters were worth the walk but were quite difficult to photograph with the low cloud cover

Marakopa Falls is an easy acces waterfall and worth the drive from Waitomo Caves! We have seen some impressive waterfalls in the North Island but for ease of access (450m walk) and the scale of the waterfall this may be the winner for me
