Mount Maunganui is a great location with a really nice feel about it. We mainly wanted to do the walk to the top of the mount but did enjoy a swim in the ocean with the sea temperature sitting at a warm 20 degrees! Lots of body boarding and surfers on the beach! A very enjoyable beach!
