After a short 1 hour drive from Waimate we decided to do the Benmore Peninsula Track as our walk for the day. The track is shared in parts with mountain bikes but 80% of the track is for walking. It's steep in parts but otherwise easy enough. The views are stunning all through out the walk and you will find many spots to take photos of the Peninsula. An easy and enjoyable walk!
