The highlight of Rotorua is the Redwoods Treewalk as pictured above. The photos really don't do it justice. Over 700 metres long with 28 suspension bridges which are bloody narrow but very cool. The laser light and led lighting throughout is impressive. We only had a 25 minute queue but over the Xmas period it can get up to 2 hours. Either way you won't be disappointed. The following day we came back to walk through the Redwoods which is also just as impressive as the treewalk. The tress are massive and again the photos don't really do them justice.

Lake Okareka Walkway is a 5k walk through the wetlands of Lake Okareka. I found it very boring but considered by some reviewers to be awesome. Happy to have done it but better walks in Rotorua.

We then headed into the fabulous Blue Lake and walked around the loop track around the outside of the lake. Lots of people on the track as they were preparing for a Triathlon the following day. We then grabbed a swim after completing the loop! It was fortunately warmer in the water than out.

Government Garden is the best looking spa bath i have seen! The Tudor Style building is fantastic and the gardens themselves are immaculate. A great place to spend 15 mins walking around taking in the beautiful gardens.
